Dear You,

thank you for taking a chance with this release. My aim with Jiayou was to write music that both requires little effort to play and to listen to. Accessible pieces with clear lyrical melodies that anybody can easily hum along to.

It is my hope that this will present a fun and feasible technical challenge for the enthusiastic bedroom musician. Should you come across something that gets your fingers irrevocably entangled, feel free to adapt the material to meet your current skills. In addition, it would be an honour if the more advanced performers amongst you were to consider including these compositions in your repertoire. It may even end up on stage one day as your go-to encore. And ultimately, my wish is that my music will help you enable your musical explorations.
